You know what we should all do more? Eat at themed restaurants.
The Prison of Fire eatery has just opened in China and it certainly makes Pizza Express look like an absolute bore.
Every dinner party is seated in its own cell, decked out to look like a genuine Chinese prison, and served food through a small hatch.
Whilst the food is above jail-standard, diners can look on at the confinement rooms, water torture devices and in-restaurant entertainment – music bands who play from inside a giant birdcage contraption – whilst they eat.
The restaurant in Tianjin City, which is a half hour bullet train ride from Beijing, opened on Saturday, and the owner said that he wants diners to ‘cherish their freedom and stay away from crimes’.
Alrighty. We can do that as long as he’s serving some sort of delicious cheese/bacon concoction.
lol paying to eat at a prison
i find it refreshing idea from a marketing perspective
if enough people could patronise it , the trend may grows
most importantly is: is the food yummy or not
Damn lot of strange people in sgforums.

.....don't think the trend will catch on if the restaurant just put up a few bars and that's it. More or less it's just a deco. It should inject some real fun experience; before having the meal, get the customers to put on prison's attire, hand-cuff them, took a mug-shot, the waiters who dress in prison wardens' gear will then lead the customers to their seats , read them the civilian's right, "You have the right to remain hungry, in the event of food poisoning, the restaurant is not accountable."
After all is done, un-cuffed them.....
lol dinner in handcuffs. some caning for desert... anyone?

In addition, it can allocate a space for VIP room naming it "The Death Row". Diners can order anything not from the menu and the cook will serve it up.
