Originated in the United States in 2013, the Electric Run is slowly expanding its footprint all over the world, with a series of runs hitting Europe and Asia this year. Singapore is its first stop in Asia.
Runners hit the F1 track and pit building for a run like no other last Friday and Saturday - the inaugural Singapore leg of the Electric Run, a fun run and rave party all rolled into one.
A 5-kilometre night-time fun run, where lights and pulsating music take centrestage, the Electric Run is not about completing the race in the shortest time, but the experience. In fact, most participants were busy posing for selfies and taking in the lights and atmosphere that there was hardly anyone running.
