This hardly seems in the Christmas spirit.
Officials in Milan have ordered the removal of a public Christmas tree which was decorated with sex toys.
An Italian sex shop’s ‘tree of pleasure’ adorned with vibrators violated the ‘holiday for children and families’ spirit. But shop owner Norma Rossetti says she just wanted to help people see the toys as ‘completely normal everyday objects.’
This hardly seems in the Christmas spirit.
Officials in Milan have ordered the removal of a public Christmas tree which was decorated with sex toys.
The provocatively adorned Christmas tree in central Milan was just too naughty for a time of year that “requires sobriety in urban decorations,’’ officials said.
A sex shop had erected the "Tree of Pleasure" for the holidays outside its store on a busy shopping street in the northern Italian city.
Norma Rossetti, who launched an Italian sex toy e-commerce website this year, said Friday she complied immediately with the order. But she defended the so-called "Tree of Pleasure" saying the objects chosen were "elegant" and not obviously X-rated, and that her goal is to break down taboos.
Sex shop owner, Norma Rossetti, said she had removed the tree but had initially put it up to try and make sex toys "completely normal everyday objects."
