Bangkok's world-class shopping district, Ratchaprasong, will take on a new dimension as it gets transformed into a museum of living art with the help of 19 international artists next week.
Held for the first time in Thailand, the "Living Arts Festival 2013 @ Ratchaprasong" will feature outdoor 4D street-art creations, living statues, special lighting, and pavement art that will distort pedestrians' perceptions.
This art event has previously held people spellbound in countries including the UK, the US, Canada, Italy, Germany, Australia, the Netherlands, Mexico and Ukraine.
The artists will create their works under the theme of "The Street of Art _ The Street of Fun" and their canvases will be the front grounds of Gaysorn shopping centre, the InterContinental Bangkok and Amarin Plaza, and the front and side grounds of Erawan Bangkok department store. Shoppers will have the chance to watch the artists at work.
This will also be the first time the public will get a look at remarkable street art creations on the stretch of BTS Skywalk from Chidlom station to the entrance to Zen department store.
