An unemployed British man has spent all his cash on a giant billboard advertisement to help him find a job.
Adam Pacitti, 24, from the Isle of Wight, has had no luck applying for jobs the conventional way so decided to do something to get himself noticed.
As well as the billboard in London, Pacitti has also set up a website employadam.com, which features a video about him, his CV and contact details.
Pacitti has a Bachelor of Arts in media production, and is looking for a job in the media.
“Finding a media job is really, really difficult,” he says. “That may sound a bit obvious, but when hundreds (if not thousands) of people are applying for every position in the industry it can be quite hard to stand out amongst the crowd.”
On January 2 he posted the image of the billboard on Twitter, and has received an overwhelming response, with the story being reported on the Daily Mail, the Mirror Online, MSN UK and on the radio, as well as thousands of re-tweets.
“Sat in a hotel in London incredibly overwhelmed by the support I’ve received. Thank you,” Pacitti tweeted today.
