Strange fish has color-changing tongue

"I have been fishing for so many years, but it is the first time that I have caught a fish with a tongue, and the weirdest thing is the tongue can change colors!," said Mr. Wang, a fishing enthusiast in Guangdong Province, on the morning of Aug. 26.
Wang keeps the fish in a basin at his home. The fish is 35 centimeters long and weighs 0.5 kilograms, with irregular scales and white spots on its body. Its body is similar to a Lampetra mori and mullet, but its head looks like a snake's.
Wang told reporters that the fish had a strong pectoral fin, which can even support its whole body, and the weirdest thing was its color-changing tongue surrounded by some soft tissue like gums.
Wang also said not only could the fish's tongue change colors, but also its skin, which is just like a chameleon's. The color of its skin is light where sunshine is strong and grows darker as the sunshine gets weaker. If the fish is under thick grass, its skin will change into a greenish color. -
