The man who walked across the race track during the Formula One Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix in September was jailed six weeks on Tuesday (Nov 3).
British national Yogvitam Pravin Dhokia, 27, earlier pleaded guilty to a rash act that endangered the safety of the drivers involved in the race.
The court heard that Dhokia had ventured onto the track on Sep 20 so he could be near race cars and film them.
It prompted the activation of the safety car and led to an interruption of race proceedings.
The prosecution called it a very serious offence as the race drivers were travelling at about 270kmh.
Dhokia could have been jailed up to six months and fined up to $2,500.
