Mortar bomb found at construction site and destroyed by SAF

A war relic, later identified as a mortar bomb, was discovered at a construction site by the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) ​and successfully destroyed.
SAF wrote on their facebook page on Friday (Mar 7):
"While most of us were enjoying the Friday night with our families and friends, our SAF Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team were activated to dispose a war relic found at a construction site.
"The team quickly responded and assessed it to be a Mortar bomb.
"The war relic was skillfully and safely moved to a disposal site yesterday night. It was successfully destroyed this morning.
"Once again, kudos to the EOD team for keeping us safe!"
