1 dead, 12 injured in crash between lorry and car on PIE

A man was killed and 12 other people are injured after an accident between a lorry and a car along the PIE in the Simei area this morning (Mar 15).
The Straits Times reported that 12 injured victims, consisting of 11 men and one woman, were taken by SCDF ambulances to Changi General Hospital.
The 12 victims were all on the lorry.
STOMPer Tay saw the aftermath of the accident at about 7.30am.
He said:
"There was a traffic accident along the PIE towards Changi Airport, in the Simei area. I saw the accident when I was jogging on the overhead bridge.
"One person was killed in the accident, as you can see from the body covered up with white cloth in the photos.
"A lorry full of workers had overturned, apparently after a collision with a black car.
"The accident caused all lanes to be blocked."
STOMP is contacting the Police for more information.

these foreign workers are really a pain in the ass, do they contribute to our economy? ask how mnay incidents and accidents already?! from lorries to ferraris!

no, that NSF flung out becasue he never put on safety belt. if i read such cases i wil still suan until NSF corpse sng .i am fucked up yes correct. and nomatter what i answer, it will never be as fucked up as the inconvenience casued by the accident and to us singaporeans.
if the dead is a foreign, i will spit on his corpse before the coroner arrives.

12 sitting behind lorry, no seat belt. gahmen also pass rule alreayd and aliens refuse to abide. from this type of accident is not car knock lorry, the total weight with 12++ men laden is about a tonne already (ave 100 kg per men weight, 1,000 kg total) the vehicle over turn. if the kisser is a bus i say maybe bus problem. but the small lorry carrying so much weight itself is very differnt to manuaverse in tricky situation. and ibet the lorry also traveling in high speed.!

Indian worker killed in PIE crash 2 months before getting married
The construction worker from India was just two months away from starting a new life. He had plans to go home and get married and open a fish farm.
But yesterday, Mr Rajesh Mahalingam, 29, was killed as a black sedan crashed into a lorry he was in, injuring 10 of his co-workers. The accident happened at the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE) towards Tuas, before the Simei exit.
The remaining 10 people in the lorry and the car driver and his female passenger were taken to Changi General Hospital (CGH). A hospital spokesman said five of the people involved in the accident were discharged yesterday evening.
Mr Rajesh’s younger brother, Mr Kalaiyarasan Mahalingam, 24, said a mutual friend told him about his brother’s death at about 8.45am yesterday when he was at work.
“I cried. I only have one sister and one brother. Just that one brother, he is gone,” he said.

what i suspect is the lorry suddenly beak, rear car kiss the lorry. car front hood engine area when contoured drives through the higher lorry at the back as a result flip turned the whole small lorry.
