  Wah, I just heard from my friends, now new flats take 3 or more years to build and move in.

   

  All those couples waiting to get their flats after marriage must be damn stressed.

   

  Buy now in 2013, need to wait until 2016 or 2017.

  They are paid million dollars to work.

  If they face any delay, they can fix the policy to facilitate the construction.

  Using the excuse of labour shortage is unacceptable and irresponsible.

  Telling us the issue can only show how useless and incompetent you are.

  Or you are waiting for your term to be over so that you can pass the problem to the next guy.

  reality has proven it is cheapest, slowest and lousiest when they provide service to the hdb residents.

  one case when they did home improvement renovation.  feedback on shaky toilet bowl when the resident used it.     other problems like leaking and flooding of units ......   no control over the contractor.  Contractor given the freedom to behave as they like to residents.

  to encourage more singaporeans to work in construction industry,
  
  hdb should give a $50,000 subsidy if the husband/wife chooses to work on site.
  
  ie, lay the bricks to your own unit.
