SINGAPORE: Non-constituency Member of Parliament (NCMP) Lina Chiam plans to ask about the MP's role in approving the use of community spaces like void decks, at the upcoming Parliament sitting.
A post on the Singapore People's Party Facebook page said Mrs Chiam has tabled a question for the parliamentary sitting on 16 October.
Mrs Chiam's move
follows Potong Pasir MP Sitoh Yih Pin's announcement on Tuesday that
the void deck of Block 108 on Potong Pasir Avenue 1 will soon be
occupied by a voluntary welfare organisation.
The void deck was used by former Potong Pasir MP Chiam See Tong for his Meet-the-People's sessions.

I wonder what answer does she want from the MP.
The MP have a say on the void deck and does not need to seek her approval for its usage.
It is not forgetting that she is not longer the MP for the place.
So, she is just waiting to be snubbed.
singapore is not perfect. We have many issues that need to be resolve.
An NCMP wants to take up parliament time to ask about a void deck? and this is the same person that want to be voted as an MP?
Gosh... cant she spend more time looking around finding some more important issue to bring up in parliament?
build more isolated places from hdb main block but within the neighborrhood for such privtae open functions or event. can also use for community club activities, chinese 7th month getai etc. so will not make noisy people pissed off.
