SINGAPORE: A 15-year-old student is being investigated for making a false police report.
Police said the teen lodged the report at about 10pm on 16 July.
He had stated that
an unknown female had threatened and attempted to extort S$250 from him
after taking his student EZ-link card around Block 127, Ang Mo Kio
Avenue 6.
During investigations, inconsistencies surfaced in his report.
Police believe the student had lost his student EZ-link card and was afraid to tell his parents the truth.
Police believe he made a false report to avoid being scolded by his parents.
