A 9-year-old is among five others who are believed to have broken into a provision shop located at Holland Close.
She and the others, which included a 17-year-old, were arrested within seven hours of the time of the report. The three males and three females allegedly broke in and stole about $1,800.
With the aid of CCTV's footage obtained from the crime scene, officers managed to establish the identity of first suspect, a 12-year-old female, arrested her at Commonwealth Crescent on Sunday at 4.40pm. The rest were arrested at the same place about two hours later. Three of the suspects were believed to have gained entry into the shop through a back door with stolen keys while the rest of suspects acted as lookouts.
Investigations are ongoing. Anyone convicted of Housebreaking and Theft by Night with common intention faces a jail term which may extend to 14 years.
