SINGAPORE: People seem to be helping themselves to more than what they need at self-help counters at fast-food chain McDonald's.
At a McDonald's outlet in Tampines Mall, people took napkins, sauces, or even free drink refills in bulk, and paid no heed to warnings by staff.
Although it is not considered as theft, the actions amount to criminal misappropriation.
Those found guilty could be jailed up to two years, fined or be liable to both.

Well, they decide to leave it outside and remember, Singapore is well known for Kiasu-ism...
so wat, they are going to slap a signboard there that reads: "per order allows 2 napkins, 1 chilli sauce + etc etc etc blah blah blah" ah???
one word for this
CHEAPO
Is it expecting to much for the cashier who takes the order to dispense such items appropriately? I remembered they used to do that...

Aliens plan to takeover local culture... That idea must be from aliens...
reduce waiting time at the ordering counters so they set up the booth for ppl to fetch these stuff themselves
which i think is good bcos we no need to go to counter and intercept the staff taking order and getting shot a look by the one ordering

Do you only start to look for toilet paper when you done your shit?
the problem is with our gracious society
opps, i mean ungracious.
btw, this phenomenon is not exclusive to SG.
Seriously... so MacD didn't anticipate this????
Seriously??? They must be smoking some powerful stuff while making decisions~
sure they did
but they make so much money they probably dun mind customers and non-customers pilfering them
it's just sauces and serviettes.
and the amount they buy, they are enjoying the economies of economies of scale.
or, if the costs go up, they can adjust their burgers' pricing accordingly
nothing to lose on their part
it's macdonald's yo!
Serviettes?
Which establishment dare to put serviettes out for customers to help themselves in Singapore?
