SINGAPORE : A man has been arrested for damaging a police patrol car.
The 50-year-old suspect smashed the side mirrors of the car which was parked along Pitt Street in Jalan Besar on Monday evening.
Police officers had left for anti-crime patrols when the suspect struck.
On Tuesday morning, police mounted an operation and arrested the man along Dunlop Street in Little India.
The suspect will be charged in court on Wednesday with vandalism.
If convicted, he could be jailed up to three years, fined up to $2,000, and given between three and eight strokes of the cane.

Commissioner Tan Hung Hooi, Commander of the Central Police Division,
warned that damaging government property is a serious offence and anyone
found committing such an act would be dealt with severely.
