The eight students were on their way to the Madrasah Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiah, which is along Braddell Road.
The next thing they knew, the white minibus had collided into the railing by the side of Bedok Reservoir Road.
It hit a lamppost and then flipped over in front of Block 715. The front of the van was wrecked, and the bumper fell off due to the impact. Five sections of the railing were badly dented.
Several passers-by heard the crash, which took place at around 6.30am yesterday, and rushed to help.
An SCDF spokesman said all the children were conscious, none of them were trapped, and there were no visible injuries.
The children were all sent to the KK Women's and Children's Hospital. Seven of them have already been discharged. Two of these children had lacerations on their faces and received stitches, while the remaining pupil, a girl in Primary 3, suffered fractures and was warded for observation.
