Five nabbed for rioting at Pasir Ris Costa Sands Chalet

SINGAPORE : Police have nabbed five youths aged between 15 and 22 who are believed to be involved in a case of rioting at Pasir Ris Costa Sands Chalet.
Police received a call at about 1.35am on Thursday regarding an assault case in the area.
Upon arrival, an 18-year-old youth was found injured at the location.
He was sent to Changi General Hospital.
Initial investigations revealed that the victim was earlier assaulted by a group of unknown persons following a dispute which is believed to have arisen from a staring incident.
Further investigations led to the identities of the suspects.
Two of them were arrested at Pasir Ris Costa Sands while three others were rounded up on the same day.
The suspects will be charged in court on Friday.
If convicted, they could be jailed up to seven years and caned.
