PRC worker killed by industrial flour mixer machine

  A bizarre death occurred yesterday evening at a factory that makes food products.

  At around 10.57pm on 18 Feb, a 25-year-old Chinese national worker died after his leg got caught in a large flour mixing machine in the factory located at Defu Lane 3.

  It is unknown how the man's leg got caught but it resulted in him being physically pulled into the machine.

  The man was dead by the time he was successfully pulled out of the machine at least 45 minutes later.

  A spokesperson from the factory declined to comment on the incident.

  ok i just scan through wanbao, it said the worker was washing the machine and somehow his leg got stuck. this trigger the machine to power on and he was being pulled into the machine.

  I think the machine automatically start if it detects something, in this case the leg trigger off the sensor

  Firm suspends use of dough mixer that crushed worker

  The factory in which a worker was killed in a dough-mixing machine that he was cleaning has temporarily suspended its use.

  A spokesman for Eng Bee Foodstuffs told The Straits Times that the company was no longer using it.

  When asked whether the firm was still manufacturing food products, he declined to comment, saying it was assisting in investigations.

  But he added that the company would help the family of the dead man.
