Teacher leaves harsh comment for Pri 1 boy

STOMPer sadmummy was shocked by harsh comments left by her son's teacher on his spelling test sheet, considering that he had only just started school.
In the test sheet, the teacher had criticized the boy's handwriting as 'horrendous' while also asking him 'where's your dot?' after he wrote the letter 'i' without the dot.
The STOMPer wrote:
"My boy has just started school and within weeks, they had to prepare for a spelling test.
"I was flipping through his books and found a marked spelling test by his teacher.
"I was shocked at the comments left by the teacher.
"When I questioned him and asked what happened after he met his teacher, he told me that she 'threw the book on the floor'.
"This happened in a neighbouring school in Tampines." -
Umm, anybody noticed the grammatical error in comment #2?

Teachers is also human being mah... Perhaps the teacher is unhappy that she was posted to an average class and might affect the year end appraisal.

I'd write comments on her comments.... and give her a lesson or two in her class....

It's true... When u have parents overprotecting the kid, the kid wont learn anything and just rely on the parents... So next time the kid go out work, kenna scolding from boss then the kid go back and cry to parents izzit? -

Maybe there is some problem with the boy that the Teacher is unhappy about? One incident taken out of context doesn't prove anything. Anyway, if I am the parent, I will be concerned that my child is not doing well. If my child improved and the Teacher still behaves in this manner, then, there is concern.

times have changed…
i remember the thick wooden rulers the teachers used to hit our hands.
that was 1970s.
now students are all 'protected'.
