SINGAPORE: A married man has been sentenced to six months' jail Thursday for fracturing the ribs of his 33-year-old ex-girlfriend.
The 43-year-old man and his victim cannot be named as they have a child out of wedlock.
The court heard that
on June 21 last year, the man went to the victim's home on the pretext
of seeing their child, who was eight months old then.
On the way there, the man and the victim got into an argument, with the man insisting that the girlfriend was sleeping around.
When they reached the victim's house, the verbal argument turned into a physical one.
The man started kicking and punching his then girlfriend.
She
sought treatment at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, and was diagnosed with two
rib fractures, hemorrhage as well as bruises on her face, limbs and
buttock.
The man was subsequently arrested in September last year.
For assault, he could have been jailed up to two years, or fined a maximum of S$5,000, or both.

The man is not a man...No matter how angry you are,you should never lay hands on a woman.
Only 6 months? What about rotan?
This sort of people need to be set on fire like what happened to Alexander Zalachenko in The Girl who Played with Fire.
