The 42-year-old beer promoter, known only as Madam Chao, has proclaimed her innocence.
The divorcee, who came to Singapore from China seven years ago with her son, is now a permanent resident. She also claimed that her son is studying in a top school in Toa Payoh.

She said that Mr Chen arranged to celebrate her birthday in advance and when they met, he "suddenly gave me $30,000 cash", adding that he had sold off his HDB flat.
"He said it was to show the love of a brother for his sister," she claimed.
She said he also took her shopping in Orchard and brought her a Rolex watch worth about $10,000 and a handphone as birthday gifts.
Madam Cao told Lianhe Wanbao: "I know he has a wife and children, but I was moved by his sincerity."
"That was why I decided to have sex with him that night."

It is people like Mr Chen, that gave the government the reasoning to move the CPF carrot until it is out of reach.
