‘S’poreans will always do worse than us’ says PRC student

Netizens are outraged by a Chinese national's online comment that 'Singaporeans will always do worse than us'. The NUS student from China has apparently apologised for the post and claimed that he was merely reposting a friend's words.
The disparaging remark, which made reference to the Lions' recent losses to the China team in the World Cup qualifier matches, read:
"There's a lesson we can learn from the recent Singapore vs China matches, which is applicable when we take our final exams. No matter what, don't give up, because Singaporeans will always do worse than us."

Singaporean chinese have to learn at least two foreign languages in school, english and mandarin, PRC chinese learn how many foreign language in schools?
Some critics argued that children were expected to learn two foreign languages in school (English and Mandarin) and that for some students the result was fluency in neither.

I think learn two foreign languages in school is too stressful for Singaporean chinese. In the end get singlish and some other rojak rubbish. There are no good results from the policy.
One of the languages should be downgraded.

this type of post is to increas post count 1 lah. why you all read and take it to heart? if the mainland chinese feel that they are better - they will be. if sgreans feel taht we are better - so will we. don;t be like the two guys who are bigger build than me i see today, with their small little pricks ginah, wait for me at mrt station just to show they very smart. ended up tehy also took the train back to their home, low paying job no liver the next day they wake up, their lives still sucks big time and forever still losers
and you know what, i farted while they raise their voices, like girly voices, and i later go church confess because i farted unmmanerly in front of them when they tok rot, i bet they heard it but many apologize coz i can;t help but have to fart

any small small peanut problems will be enlarge by the stomp. take a look at other countries. small things remain small. they don get angry easily or jealous.

Singapore education system must be reformed and the failed bilingualism policy removed, otherwise the garbage language standard of Singaporeans will never be solved.

Singapore has a rigid education system. I am not against the languages taught here. Everyone should know the international language English. Bilingualism is good.
The education system is controlled by the ones running the country now. There will not be any change if they remain as they are.

They are actually right cos all their expenses are paid for while the singaporeans have to pay for their study debts, served reservist and attend remedial training.
They are invited here to study and to form their cluster.
Best of all, the singaporeans are footing all their bills.

They have $1500 as allowance. Using taxpayers' money finance PRC students. Sorry for being rude to say what I want to say, some will say voters who voted them to give them the mandate are all kumlan.

Where got stressful ???
Even a bus driver whom I conversed with before, know the following 5 languages fluently:
- English
- Mandarin
- Malay
- Hokkien
- Cantonese

not only bus drivers....some rickshaw professionals know a staggering 7 lingua at middle road ....with another 2 languages according to trends and times...korean and japanese....

There happened to had some incident on the bus one day & I helped him by following him to the bus interchange control room and heard him spoke all the above 5 languages to 5 respective people there.
Minority are not linguistically inclined.
It is perfectly fine for me to learn two languages at the same time. I have interest for both Mandarin and English.
I admire this bus captain for speaking so many languages.
