SINGAPORE: The Ministry of Health is advising residents living near Bedok Town Secondary School to see a doctor if they have a cough or are feeling unwell.
The reminder comes after the latest case of tuberculosis was discovered in a student of Bedok Town Secondary School.
The patient is the third case from the school this year.
MOH says tuberculosis can spread in a community and it is hard to trace.
It says early detection is essential in fighting the infection
The
ministry's Tuberculosis Control Unit is screening students and teachers
who have had close contact with the girl, and is also investigating if
the three cases are linked.
