  looks like maybe they have some sort of stupid theme, that's why everyone try and look like chicken or duck. In that case...carpet not so bad afterall.

  But stupid is stupid, regardless of magnitude. Just because ours is less stupid doesn't mean that it is smart.

  Frankly speaking, why can't everyone just wear the standard version of their own national costumes?

  What's wrong with making our model wear a good ol' cheongsam/sari/kebaya?

  Well, we can't please everyone so might just continue with it. Singapore is a country with identity issues, we are all bunch of immigrants from all over the place to make a good living here. Maybe they can use the Singapore dollar to make a dress for Miss Singapore next year.

  it will be rojak every year bcos every year we are trying to blend all our ethnic costumes' elements into one
