Chinese national mocks S'poreans in online video rant

STOMPer LWL was speechless when he came across a video of a China national poking fun at Singaporeans.
Sporting painted black lips and a pair of black-framed spectacles, the man mostly made fun of the way Singaporeans speak and he was unhappy with how most people he encountered perceived China as being poor.
He spoke about how Singlish is 'the one and only unique language' in Singapore. Yet, we learn so many languages in just 20 years.
The man also quoted examples of how he felt Singaporeans were not good in their languages, mispronouncing 'zuo gong', 'taxi' and even 'three' as 'tree'.
He also made fun of Singapore's MRT stations, saying since we call them 'subways', are are asking where we can eat sandwiches?
Other comments were on Singapore food: He did not like it, and by the time one finishes ordering from the many varieties available, one would starve to death, he said.
STOMPer LWL said of the video:

I thought they would try to play down this incident after that previous incident.

If he considers himself a true-blue PRC, then he should know that the making of such a video goes against basic Confucian ethics and standards of behaviour.
If you are a guest in my house then I will treat you with kindness and respect. In return I expect no less than the same level of kindness and respect from you. If you don't, then you are not welcome in my house.
Instead of slurring Singaporeans, all he has done is to slur himself and his fellow countrymen. I have colleagues from PRC who are honest, diligent and hardworking people - this bugger owes them an apology as well.

This is the culture of Singapore, there is no big deal of us speaking singlish.
I agreed that we do mocked at the PRCs too, but doing it within your friends for a laugh and posting it on youtube to insult Singapore infront of all the nation, is a big different.

The other China National who did that, is still not settled yet, I think.
The police will drag their feets about this, just like the Tin PeiLing case.
The police will eventually give a light sentence to the China Nationals as the gov do not want to scare them off.
I think the gov do not share the people sentiments of this place being a nation.
Another familiar hopeless situation that will not change.

In other words, he will be deported with him being thousands of dollars poorer and several years of studies down the drain.

I read the article in full just now. Borrowed a colleague's copy of TNP.
The school confirmed that the fella was expelled as a direct result of this video. They also confirmed that his fees for his final year would be forfeited. On top of that, they terminated his student visa and ordered him to get out of Singapore quickly before he gets arrested for overstaying.
So..... nopes, doesn't sound as though he graduated.

What school was he in?
I find it incredible, unbelievable, illogical that they act so quickly to punish him, as compared to offences committed by other PRCs.
He makes a stupid but legal video, gets sent back. PRC beats up a Singaporean cyclist or scratches up SMRT staff, nothing happens or one day in jail.
