STOMPer Caretaker was outraged to learn that some teachers were making fun of a Primary 5 special needs boy on Facebook..
According
to a New Paper report, an allied educator (AED), whose job is to give
teaching and learning support in school, made jokes about a special
needs boy's condition on his Facebook page on July 1.
Several other teachers from the school also joined in with insensitive remarks.
The
special needs student drools occasionally and mucus flows from his nose
because of his condition. The boy also has difficulty sitting still and
AEDs are assigned to take care of such students.
STOMPer Caretaker siad:
"Such disgusting behaviour! It's really unacceptable.
"You
would think that an AED, someone who is supposed to be there to take
care of the needs and welfare of students, would be more sympathetic to
this kid's situation.
"Don't be an AED if you're going to complain and rant about your job.
"Their
comments were so hurtful. If I were the parent of the boy, I would make
sure the school did more than counsel the teachers.
"The fact
that other teachers joined in worries me. These people are supposed to
be teaching children moral values in school as well. How can they do
that if they themselves behave like that?"
Don't ever censor their face, They really deserve the shame, man, If they did that.
shame on them
Why did those teachers get into this job to teach feeble-minded vermin anyway?
Such vermin have destroyed my existence.
They must be wiped out.
