Its alright, the press conference only lasted 8 minutes, despite her being 2 hours late, and she only answered 4 questions, with regards only to her music.

With that kind of diva behaviour, it makes me wonder why anyone actually gives a *toot* about Lady Gaga.
And why her songs are supposedly good enough to be ripped off.

Maybe its that kind of behavior that makes her a diva. A ha!

I wonder how many of the crabs running this charade shat in their pants when they were served letters from Sony...
Managers are the ones who control where the celebrities go and how much time they spend there. All her attention-seeking antics, however, negate any shred of "talent" she might possess.

They already succeeded in making this year's NDP memorable - for the wrong reasons.

I really do need to know something, though.... how much in taxpayer dollars did MINDEF burn on paying airing rights to the record company?

I will always rememeber president Nathan last NDP. Have been mentally hoping that fat guy to step down for years.
I hope next year is Tan Kin Lian at there. Pls vote for him.
post edited due to being irrelavant to topic..
EMBARRASSING. Ridiculous. Weird. Innovative.
These were some of the comments from Singaporeans when RazorTV asked them what they thought about the NDP fun pack song.
When asked if we needed a song to publicise the fun pack, many felt the money could have been spent better, while others wondered why a song by a western singer was chosen over local artistes.
Sung to the tune of Lady Gaga's hit, Bad Romance, the lyrics of the song were modified to highlight items found in this year's NDP fun pack.
Online feedback to the song has also been vociferous, with more veering toward the negative rather than positive.

ORGANISERS of the National Day Parade (NDP) yesterday said they will drop the Fun Pack Song, which modified the lyrics of Lady Gaga's hit tune Bad Romance without permission.
But there was a twist to the saga: In an interview with The Straits Times yesterday, the American pop star said it was 'wonderful' that the lyrics had been changed and pronounced them 'great'.

did she even understand wat the lyrics are abt?
Why fun pack and not fun bags?
confirm she dunno la.
Lady Gaga probably be amused by the incident and the ignorance of the Singapore National Parade committee which handles/forgot about permission on copyright issue..
Being late for interview, it is the responsibility of her record company/concert promoter/event company to explain and apoloise but not her (in all fairness, if she is one at fault, have u guys checked its really her fault?). It might be held up for other reasons, hairstylist late/make up artist made a mess/prior interviews overun/soundcheck/technical breakdown/venue not ready/journalists being late too...it's not to her own control. Artist followed the schedule tightly when the event company/personnel who took care of her in Singapore.
Questions: have you attended press conference of massive media journalist and foreigner interviewers? say restrictions of only 20 local and 20 foreigner media..how long would you think the presss conference will eventually last? Each journalist ask a question, each question 5mins...
Worse, some lazy interviewers may not do his/her homework, ask a question which appeared million times on other newspaper/magazines, the artist will be obliged to repeat the answers all over again, thus wasting everybody precious time and made us look unbearable stupid.
All questions were screened before asking.. to safeguard the artist and the reputation as being a intellectual sound media in Singapore!
And the venue, there are fake intruders who tried to barged to see their idol/artist. Security issue.

this kind of issue, she would be informed rather than she finds out... it's major issue on copyright.. though not using her voice but producer/writer/song/mechanical royalties, all the royalty depts will be firing down the NDP squad's neck!!
No Fun Pack Song at NDP 2011
SINGAPORE: National Day Parade organisers will not be using the Fun Pack Song for Singapore's birthday celebration this year.
The song is sung to the tune of Lady Gaga's hit single "Bad Romance" but with modified lyrics.
It emerged that organisers did not obtain rights to modify the lyrics.
The NDP Committee said they will not be seeking adaptation rights to perform the song.
The Fun Pack Song came under fire after a video of it was uploaded on YouTube.
It was first performed during rehearsals to introduce items in the goodie bag.
