China condo uses 'cheong' S'pore crest as logo

  The sight of this Chinese advertisement for a condominium had STOMPer Pissed off Singaporean seeing red. The logo bears more than a passing resemblance to our own national emblem.

  "I was in Kunming on Jun 29 and I saw this advertisement in the papers.
  
  "It is advertising a condominium with a 'slight' modification of Singapore's coat of arms.
  
  "It is very sad to see our national emblem being used for a condominium project.
  
  "The Chinese love to copy everything they see.
  
  "Our MFA should issue a letter to their Chinese counterparts to stop this."

  Seriously, who gives a shit? I just saw Pava Roti the other day and guess what they're selling? Roti. Some years back in Chengdu, I saw a merlion in the hotel. Then some Singapore flags in the hotel. Oh well, upon further checks with reception, they said it's co-owned by Sgporean. Then we visited our friend's condo and there was this humongus merlion at least 15 feet tall right smacked in the centre of their garden. Any links to Sgpore? Apparently no but very interesting though haha.

  merlion is like satus of liberty can be replicate anywhere and put at any place....

  national crest are symbolic in nature of 2 countries - Singapore and malaysia it has meaning with political overtone.
