" Naked" sushi served at Holland V home

Six guests were served sushi during a dinner meeting at a private home in Holland Village. But it was no ordinary sushi. The dinner was served on a topless Asian woman wearing just a pair of shorts.
According to the report in The New Paper today (June 19), the dinner was hosted by the Secret Cooks Club. Club co-founder Dr Denisa Kera, said:
"No indecent exposure occurred because the purpose was not to see a naked body, but to experience a Japanese food ritual and understand it.
"There were various courses and special cleaning rituals were performed (on the woman) in between the different courses."
This Japanese practice of serving sashimi or sushi on the body of a naked woman is called Nyotaimori.
STOMPer Shhshimi, who read the article, said:
"I don't think there are restaurants in Singapore that actually serve naked sushi.
"While I don't understand the purpose of this ritual, I don't think Singaporeans are ready for it, at least not in Singapore.
"I don't think the sushi would taste any different, with or without the naked woman.
"Plus, it's a a sexist meal, and some people might find it degrading to women." -
