We are forced to be materialistic. We gals want to stay in atap house in villages but there aren't any atap houses around in SG. We gals want to stay at home and be housewives but garment say we must work. We gals don't want to wear high heels or nice shoes, we want to be like our grandma wear wooden clogs but they are no longer on sales. Many other things etc............. We need money to buy those things that we are forced to buy, so we become materialistic. We are forced to be like that.

This study shouldn't be any surprising. It's only natural for a developed nation. They have studied so much and so hard, how to settle for a husband with lesser qualifications?
