Police investigate derogatory remarks posted in online forum

School holiday ending soon.
Angry forumers from the PRC forum for mainland Chinese living Singapore ‘Living in the Lion City’ (狮城生活) have vowed to rally around their compatriot Zhou Hou and expose Singaporeans for making similar racist remarks on SPH-owned forums.
24 year old Zhou Hou from Shandong province, northern China has been called up for questioning by the Singapore police for allegedly posting racist remarks about a Malay man on the forum on 9 June 2011 in which he boasted about beating him up after nearly knocking him down when he was doing his delivery.
His comments were exposed by TRE, sparking a massive outcry from its readers and prompted two of them to lodge separate police reports against him.
An obviously irate PRC forumer 电玩巴士 started a thread in the forum calling for ‘unity’ to expose Singaporeans if Mr Zhou gets punished:
“如果这ä½网å‹è¢«åˆ¤ä»»ä½•å¤„罚,大家应该团结起æ¥åŽ»æå‘é‚£äº›æœ¬åœ°æ–°åŠ å¡äººçš„网络言论 stomp å’Œ omy上比比皆是!”
(Translated: If this forumer gets any form of punishment, everybody should unite to expose local Singaporeans for making similar remarks on STOMP and OMY)
His post were supported by most Chinese forumers with one of them ‘geroo’ commenting that the Singapore government will not dare to take action against Mr Zhou if he is a Singapore PR:
“先看看那ä½兄弟是PR或已æˆç‚ºæ–°åŠ å¡å…¬æ°‘. 如果是PR, 新國政府是ä¸敢冒犯的. 新國政府åªæ•¢åš´æ‡²å·±åœ‹å…¬æ°‘而已, å°外國人呢, 總是從輕發è½åœ°. 所以呢, 最好是ä¸è¦拿新國公民權, PRå°±å¤ äº†.”
Instead of getting agitated, ‘电玩巴士’ should be grateful for the kind treatment given to Mr Zhou by the PAP police and media. His name was not published in the papers and neither was he smeared by SPH journalists.
In contrast, three Singaporean teenagers from Singapore Polytechnic were arrested by the police ONE DAY after posting mild ‘racist’ comments on Facebook last year and their names were splashed across the papers to humiliate them repeatedly to ruin their future forever.
It is highly unlikely that Mr Zhou will be charged in court for any offence as the PAP regime is often reluctant to take action against foreigners.
When over 200 PRC workers protested outside the Manpower Ministry last year over unpaid wages, the police stood idly by and allowed them to make a din in a public place. Similarly, the police dared not arrest a PRC family of five after they ‘hijacked’ a SBS bus for five hours and even ‘escorted’ them down the bus after SBS agreed to cater for a cab to send them home.

foreigners are more likely to overthrow PAP faster than singaporeans do in the next election

almond cookies, u are getting on my nerves. u are clearly a troll -.-. i surprised u got 1k post without getting ban. Your replies to jiani has no link. i dont get it.. u keep on replying to her post. this isnt about jealousy.... pls, internet is the last thing on my mind to get dates. If u really like her so much, just pm her. no need to be infront of her face for every single post.. and half of those replies u replied to her i bet there's no connection. She talks about police banning forums and such is pointless because racism still exist. But your answer to her is about u exposing your friend and ahma being a racist. WHERE GOT LINK?
and btw tell your friend (unless he's your imaginary friend), if he hate malay so much.. tell him to leave singapore. U think singapore only for us, chinese people? GOSH...I really hate racist people. I dont much care about china people but critisizing malay, tamil, chinese people from singapore is where i really draw the line. People like "your friend" deserve to be beaten up. Honestly, i started to think that "your friend" is actually you. -.-
If FI doesn't want to do anything about it, soon sgforums will be getting some attention from the people at the top.
I suspect a lot of forums are being monitored now due to recent events.
