Man charged with molesting 11-year-old boy

SINGAPORE: A 37-year-old man was charged Monday with outraging the modesty of an 11-year-old boy last Saturday afternoon.
The man had allegedly touched the boy's private parts at a basement stairwell of Tiong Bahru Plaza.
The case will be further mentioned on June 20.
If convicted, he can be jailed up to five years, fined and caned.
The man was arrested by police officers on anti-crime patrol at the shopping mall.
They had spotted him entering the stairwell with the boy.
When the officers entered the stairwell, they found that the man was bare-bodied and the boy was clad only in his underwear.
The man tried to flee, but was successfully detained.
Police recovered a tube of lubricant and four computer thumb drives from his possession.
