Man found murdered in Ang Mo Kio park

SINGAPORE: A man was found murdered in Ang Mo Kio Town Garden West on Saturday morning.
A teenager was arrested hours later in connection with the case.
Police said they received a call of an assault at about 6.40am in the park, which is near the Ang Mo Kio Library.
The man, who had facial injuries, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics at about 7.10am.
Police spokeswoman Tham Yee Lin said the teenager was arrested in the vicinity of the park.
The case has been classified as murder.

A TEENAGER was charged yesterday with the murder of a man who was found dead in an Ang Mo Kio park last Saturday morning.
Sumanthiran Selvarajoo, 18, was arrested a few hours after he allegedly bashed up retiree Loo Nam Sheng, 64, with an umbrella.
He faces the death penalty if convicted of the crime.
Mr Loo had gone to Ang Mo Kio Town Garden West, opposite Ang Mo Kio library, for his morning exercise last Saturday.
At 6.40am, the police received a call about an assault in the area.
It is not known how Mr Loo met Sumanthiran, who lives less than 1km from the park, or why he was beaten up. But when he was found, he had cuts and abrasions on his face.

Arrested teen a 'potential national runner'
TEENAGER Sumanthiran Selvarajoo was training a year ago to get into the national track team for the Youth Olympic Games (YOG) held here.
Although he did not make the final cut, his former coach at St Joseph's Institution (SJI), Mr G. Elangovan, said he had the potential to become a national runner.

Mr Loo, a divorcee with a grown-up daughter, was a resident of an old folks' home near the park.
He had been exercising every morning to keep fit after undergoing two heart operations two years ago, his brother was quoted as saying in a Shin Min Daily News report yesterday.
Last Saturday, he went out at about 5am for his exercise.
In court yesterday, Sumanthiran did not have a lawyer representing him.
His family members were also not present.

in reference to deathmaster i think your name suits you VERY VERY well..all i can say is that you are VERY VERY cunning...you don know what the situation is so the best thing to do is to stop cursing people... learn to forgive and accept people no ones does mistakes willingly..with people like you even convicts who are willing to reform might not be able to..DONT curse anyone think positively and pray for the best.
