A FIRE broke out yesterday morning at a workshop which deals with engine parts.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force was alerted at about 2.35am. Its officers arrived within eight minutes.
They used seven water jets to control the fire at No. 68 Sungei Kadut Street 1, and stop it spreading to neighbouring buildings.
No one was injured, The cause of the fire is being investigated.
The building has several tenants, including Luckson Aluminium and Glass Works.
Its boss, who wanted to known only as Mr Leow, said in Mandarin that he has suffered "great losses".
