YOUTHS are already getting more face time with the Acting Minister for Community Development, Youth and sports - both online and in town hall meetings.
Major General Chan Chun Sing said he will be meeting students 'from all walks of life' on Friday (May 27) to discuss housing policies.
He said the topic was picked by the students themselves.
It was only last week that the Minister had his first town hall session with the students from secondary schools, junior colleges and polytechnics and the topic discussed was university education.
MG Chan said while he will be using the new media to engage youths, the technology will be used to meld with physical face to face time.
'I use FaceBook to invite them. I will write on my FaceBook and post my thoughts once in a while to share. At the same time I also want to hear I also want to hear what their views are. So these are different platforms to reach out to different strata of the young society,' he said.
