Don Gorske has eaten a record-breaking 25,000 burgers in his life so far.
It has been 39 years to the day since he ate his first nine Big Macs.
At a ceremony in his honour at a McDonald's in his hometown of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, he said he would continue to eat Big Macs "until I die".
"When I was 19 years old I had eaten my first 1,000... and I thought how long before I hit 10,000?" he said before eating the world record 25,000th burger on Tuesday.
He buys them in bulk twice a week, keeping the boxes and recording his consumption on a calendar.
He jokes that 25,000 is a milestone because people didn't think he'd live this long.
But he says he recently saw a doctor who said he was in good health and his cholesterol is low.
