Ris Low & Ms Tin Tin: Boomz!
Wahahahahahahaha
The snide remark posted on PAP newbie candidate Tin Pei Ling’s Facebook about her opponent Nicole Seah has sparked a massive outcry in cyberspace with many netizens wondering if it is legally allowed for Ms Tin’s so-called Facebook administrator to post such a comment on ‘Cooling off’ day:
”OooOooOoooh so that’s REALLY what happened? Wow, I think tears in parliament is worse than ANYTHING ELSE!”
It was made in response to Nicole’s weeping on TV about a MacPherson resident who was not given a refund of $80 by a PAP kindergarten.
In an interview with Channel News Asia, Ms Tin claimed that it was one of her administrators, “Denise He” who made the post:
“She wanted to post the comment in her personal capacity, and she was using her mobile phone. But she didn’t realise that she had inadvertently posted as my profile rather than her own … It was an honest mistake.”

However, a check on Ms Tin’s declaration of election advertising revealed that she is theONLY approved moderator of her own Facebook page:

Since Denise He is not declared as a moderator of Ms Tin’s Facebook page, is she allowed to post such a disparaging comment about another candidate on “Cooling off” day itself?
Some netizens also questioned if it is appropriate for Channel News Asia to interview Ms Tin on “Cooling off” day as “under the Parliamentary Election Act, “publication and display of election advertising (including on the Internet and by SMSes/MMSes)… not already lawfully displayed or published before the start of Cooling-off Day.”
The Election Department is known for its strictness in implementing the election laws. An independent team of 5 candidates was disqualified for contesting in Tanjong Pagar GRC because they were 35 SECONDS late in submitting their nomination form.
Both Ms Tin and Ms He should step forward and clarify what happened and to apologize to Nicole for the remark posted on Ms Tin’s Facebook and subsequently deleted which may have a negative impact on Nicole and her team.
wah lanz eh why post her cb face

Tin Pei Ling clarifies Facebook posting on Cooling-off Day
SINGAPORE: The People's Action Party (PAP) candidate for Marine Parade Group Representation Constituency (GRC) Tin Pei Ling said she had not posted anything on her Facebook page on Cooling-off Day.
All candidates who are contesting in the General Election are not allowed to campaign on Cooling-off Day, a day before Polling Day.
Ms Tin said on
Thursday May 5, her Facebook page carried a "clarification" on reports
that a MacPherson resident had been refused help for her child's tuition
fees.
The resident had asked for a refund.
The MacPherson Zone B Residents' Committee said the deposit of S$80 cannot be refunded.
But netizens circulated on Friday a screen capture that showed a comment posted on Ms Tin's Facebook.
The comment said: "OooOoooOooh so that's what REALLY happened? Wow. I think tears in Parliament is worse than ANYTHING ELSE!"
The comment was however removed within 20 minutes.
When
contacted, Ms Tin told Channel NewsAsia she was alerted to the comment
when some of her friends called her shortly after it was posted.
Ms Tin said she found out it was one of her administrators, Ms Denise He, who had mistakenly made the post.
"She
wanted to post the comment in her personal capacity, and she was using
her mobile phone. But she didn't realise that she had inadvertently
posted as my profile rather than her own ... It was an honest mistake,"
Ms Tin said.
Ms Tin asked her administrator to remove the comment immediately.
She
added that she had earlier given strict instructions to her team of
administrators not to make any postings on Cooling-off Day.
Her administrators help her to upload photos of her walkabouts on her Facebook page.

like real
even if it's relli this Denise He (whoever she is) tt Ms Tin engaged to handle the account, why is this Ms He (to act on behalf of MP-to-be) be even posting such comments? (even it's to be on her own profile?)
the son do wrong thing is the father's fault, rite?

So you think you are communicating with your chio bu MP on your fb chat?
You think "she" likes your post?
It could be some 46 year old balding guy, her fb administrator.

It's because she don't know what to say.

probably stamping her feet and telling everyone she dunno what to say
"I dunno what happened."
Did she violate any election rules posting on Facebook during cooling off period?
Did she make a false declaration by saying that she was the sole operator of the Facebook account without making any mention of Denise He?
What are the implication?
I dunno what to say?!! Stamp stamp stamp
Btw, I love the use of the phrase "It was an honest mistake" by the PAP guys

All I know is:
It is not illegal for election candidates to post campaign related stuff online on cooling day, so the elections department in asking the NSP to report it to the police is totally ridiculous.
It is like you joined the Subaru Challenge and you see a participant take her hands off the car to scratch her head.
It is not illegal in the sense of the word, just that she had broken a rule in the challenge.
If that was the case, the organisers are the ones who should disqualify her but to ask other particpants to file a police report because of this?
Tin pei ling should be disqualified from marine parade GRC!!!
what should be done and what is usually done are mutually exclusive in the realms of politics..
