PAP candidate for Marine Parade GRC Tin Pei Ling posted a snide comment about her opponent Nicole Seah on her Facebook on 6 May 2011 at 1.33pm exactly.
Nicole Seah captured the attention of the entire nation when she was seen weeping openly on TV as she recounted the plight of a MacPherson resident who was treated like a ‘criminal’ when she approached the PAP for help over her child’s tuition fee.
In a clarification posted on her Facebook wall, Ms Tin denied the allegations:
“This resident had requested for MacPherson Zone B RC to refund a tuition deposit of $80. We understand that the resident withdrew her child from attending classes, without notice.”

She then took a swipe at Nicole Seah:
”OooOooOoooh so that’s REALLY what happened? Wow, I think tears in parliament is worse than ANYTHING ELSE!”
Ms Tin deleted her callous comment a few minutes later, but a snapshot of it was taken by netizens:

Ms Tin’s comments on Nicole Seah may affect how voters view her which may not be allowed under the new election laws on ‘Cooling off’ day.
From Ms Tin’s attitude, it appears that she is very confident of winning the election tomorrow.
Though Ms Tin has come under fire in the past few weeks by netizens for her apparent lack of substance and empathy, PAP candidate for Ang Mo Kio GRC continues to insist that she is the ‘BEST TALENT’ the PAP can find, ignoring the prevailing sentiments among young Singaporeans.
A netizen by the name of Tan Yu Xiang has lodged an official complaint to the Election Department about a Facebook posting made by PAP candidate for Marine Parade GRC Tin Pei Ling.
Ms Tin allegedly posted a comment on ‘Cooling Day’ about her opponent Ms Nicole Seah on her Facebook, taking a potshot at her for crying during her speech made at a rally last night:
”OooOooOoooh so that’s REALLY what happened? Wow, I think tears in parliament is worse than ANYTHING ELSE!”
Ms Tin deleted her callous comment a few minutes later, but a snapshot of it was taken by netizens:

Ms Tin’s comments on Nicole Seah may affect how voters view her which may not be allowed under the new election laws on ‘Cooling off’ day.
Under the Parliamentary Election Act, “publication and display of election advertising (including on the Internet and by SMSes/MMSes)… not already lawfully displayed or published before the start of Cooling-off Day.”
In his email, Mr Tan wrote:
“As a Singapore Citizen, I hereby request an investigation on this matter and also request an official reply with regards to this matter. Think accountability. This is just a notification of possible breaching of election rules and a duty of a citizen to pinpoint what’s right and what’s wrong.”
He has received an official reply from the Election Department which said it would ‘look into the matter.’
There are already some complaints of ‘double standards’ on the part of the Election Department in allowing PAP candidate for Holland-Bukit Timah Sim Ann’s candidacy to stand when she is still technically a civil servant and its decision to dismiss the nomination of 5 independent candidates for Tanjong Pagar GRC for missing the deadline by 35 seconds.
Unlike other First World countries, Singapore does not have an independent Election Department which, for some strange reasons, fall under the purview of the Prime Minister’s Office.

ELECTIONS DEPARTMENT
Embattled PAP newbie candidate for Marine Parade GRC Tin Pei Ling has ‘clarified’ to Channel News Asia that she was not the person who posted snide remarks about her opponent Nicole Seah on her Facebook page on ‘Cooling off’ day.
A moniker showing the Ms Tin’s photo posted a comment about Nicole’s weeping on TV when she spoke about the plight of a woman whose 80 dollar tuition fee was not refunded by a PAP kindergarten:

Ms Tin claimed that it was one of her administrators, “Denise He” who made the post:
“She wanted to post the comment in her personal capacity, and she was using her mobile phone. But she didn’t realise that she had inadvertently posted as my profile rather than her own … It was an honest mistake.”
A quick check on Facebook revealed only one “Denise He” with no photos or friends and so far, no netizen has come forward to confirm the identity of “Denise He”.
Furthermore, if the message was indeed posted using a mobile phone, the words “x minutes ago via iPhone or Facebook mobile” should appear at the end of the comment which was not found in Ms Tin’s comment above:
An irate netizen by the name of Tan Yu Xing has lodged an official complaint to the Election Department which said it would ‘look into the matter.’
Under the Parliamentary Election Act, “publication and display of election advertising (including on the Internet and by SMSes/MMSes)… not already lawfully displayed or published before the start of Cooling-off Day.”
In January 2010, YPAP leader posted a callous remark on the YPAP Facebook slamming netizens for “slapping on the government senselessly” because they did not get “any fruits of benefits” from their forefathers. He later claimed that his Facebook was ‘hacked’ and lodged a police report. (read here)
Whether or not it was indeed Ms Tin who posted the comment, she has to take responsibility for it and apologized to Nicole since it was posted on her Facebook and viewed by many netizens whose perception of Nicole may be changed as a result.
The little bitch ting girl little ting spoke!
She will be the joker in parliament. Can act as comic relief.
Like small kid like that.

So outside ppl would not know either
I'm saying tis
ppl are still passing written notes abt e election and their feelings. Seriously it's going to be very hard to know just who tis person is at e very moment
Well she and Salin Palin are just like twin sister. In fact I didn't think PAP learn from history that Mccain lose in his President election with Obama partly because he choose his time-bomb for his self-destruction as his running mate.

Consists of bootlickers. How boring!
According to the declaration, Denise He is not registered as her administrator/moderator.
Tin Pei Ling should clarify the matter to the public.
Who posted the remarks?
Denise He lor, whoever she is.
someone oso running my fb acct for me leh, whoever it is
can't wait for tonight's TOTO results.
TPL said it was Denise He who posted via her phone. But if so, then it would show on the FB post that it was done via the phone. There's none. And that sort of bitchy language sounds very much like someone who stomps her feet on TV and whose political regret is that she hasn't brought her parents to universal studios yet.
So if she gets disqualified, who takes marine parade?
it takes more n bigger lies to cover 1 little lie
oops, she is in trouble so see how are they going to cover up this time.
BOOMZ !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
let's see how "Sarah" PeiLing gets out of this...
probably stamping her feet and telling everyone she dunno what to say
