Foreign student found in dorm with 'knife in head'

A 21-year-old Chinese national was found in an NTU hostel room with what was reported as a 'knife in her head' yesterday afternoon. Is university life so stressful, asks STOMPer Lily.
According to the report in Shin Min today (Apr 26), the second-year NTU Bioengineering student was found by her hostel mate with a 'knife in her head' yesterday afternoon.
The police said:
"Police received a call on April 25 at about 1.10pm informing us that a woman was found lying motionless at 21 Nanyang Circus.
"The body of a 21 year old woman was found at the location.
"She was taken to NUH with injuries. Police are investigating."
STOMPer Lily, who also studies at NTU, was shocked when she read about the case. She said:
"Was she so stressed?
"I heard that a knife and scissors were found in the room, and the girl sustained lacerations on her wrists and scratches on her neck.
"She's a resident at Hall 1 Block 16.
"People are talking about the 'knife in her head', which is really scary, but I think it's just a rumour until official investigations confirm it."
In January last year, two female NTU undergraduates committed suicide just within two weeks of each other.
In 2009, an engineering student first stabbed his professor on campus, and later jumped to his death. -
NTU seems to be a popular suicide hang out.

haunted NTU ghost story.ntu has way too many suicides .....seems as if that place is cursed.what a damn scary place to get yer degree in.it all started with that indonesian student jumping off from ntu and killing himself......then all the crazy freakish accidents and suicides started happening. shiver me timbers!

indeed actually...To have enuff strength to stab urself in the head with a knife... It's quite difficult...
