hello there,
I posted sometime ago asking whether if anybody is interested to go diving as well. I will be registering soon but mine is PADI, not SSI.
got wad difference one ma?...my friend gai siao me ssi redscuba one leh...i plan to take mine in june
there is a major difference.....i searched around on net and ask ppl, they say PADI is most widely recognized....SSI im not sure. and SSI more expensive i tink, PADI is cheaper. most ppl take PADI locally. Im going end of may week, consider very long alrdy, tml going to register.
ooo...u going alone arr?...i go look see look see find more research on both first..padi one 400 ++..ssi one 600 ++ sia..damn big the gap
yea, its really hard to find someone to go with me, they give alot of reasons eg no money, cant swim, not interested, so I decided to go myself. i suggest you go scubasg.com and see, also visit the shops website. PADI is average $500-$590. Dun go for the $400++, im sure there is some hidden charges. and since its diving, i rather pay abit more for safety assurance with a 5star certified diving centre.
hey..so how was it?..u went to which center? sunnycove arr?
yea...$590
PADI is indeed a more recognised .. As far as I know they certified over 70% of the divers =P If you want to obtain the cert, do not just look at the price. Those that offer you $400+ isn't gonna make you feel like you're on a holiday. They rush everything through over a weekend and you don't get to have enough rest. lols.. That's just what I know, I may be wrong. I got my diving cert a few years back from a private instructor..
