Actually, 200k might be better depending on your age. Rental tenants, you need to do homework, etc, etc to check. But 200k at an age of 60, it is equivalent to 2k a month for 8yrs 4 mths. Put it in fixed D, it could probably last a bit longer.
If you put it into a GLC corporate bond or SGS bond at 3% coupon yield, you could still get an average of $500 a month.
Plus you get the advantage of it being liquid...
So it really depends on the person's lifestyle.

I think rent out better because say after you rent out 10 years, you earn 10 years of rental money and the prices will have increased by than you downgrade can earn more money

Ya of course I know.What I mean is rent out the extra 3 rooms in your flat and you stay in the remaining 1room.
After 10 years of renting, when the price of the flat has increased, sell it and buy a 2 or 3 room hdb flat and earn money

Virgin or not is not important....I haven't found anybody that touches my heart....I'll be concentrating on my career now, maybe within next 3 yrs can get a suitable GF then get married....dunno. For now being single seems like a good idea. Can be more focus at work.
