as in, the hdd status report... wait until the program is done scanning the surface test and see got damaged sectors anot..

that's luckily, many of a times, people would exp a cracked lcd screen = $600 - $700 repair.

no la, screen didnt crack. juz that a very great impact on it.. damn. wonder if my hdd will survive anot.. sekali report come out got damaged sectors. damnation.. my laptop is not that kind of IBM with hdd protection active leh.. mine juz a HP dv2713tx.. looks nice, power okay okay but no such thing as "drop prediction" for the hdd...

lcd crack i dun mind that much.. can go repair not a problem. if kena damaged sectors = corrupted files will occur = dataloss.. i buay tahan data loss de. -
haha, mine is HP pavillion Dv2711tx.
yea, so far, only the pavillion dv3000 series has it's "hdd protection system" or HP compaq business series.

if cost is not a probelm then it's not a prob. cause it is not under warranty.How did it crash?

the trackpad side (trackpad's right beside the hdd..) lifted up 4 inches and then crashed down hard onto the table.. -

nah. not even a scratch. i wipe the surfaces everyday. -
wow.. how peaceful.. i juz shoved my new sonic gear earpump into my ears and didnt even have music on. but it sure helps in blocking out the noise my cousins make..
