I have this impression that HK is better. I bet they get the latest releases sooner and prices are cheaper too. You will see that many of the Asian vendors on ebay are from HK.
Having said that, I think the collectors market in Singapore is small and probably cannot support too many retailers here. The funny thing is that there is some demand from people like us who want to get the latest models but by their inaction, they are letting this demand be met by overseas vendors and to some extent, 1/1 scale car agents.
I agree that the collector's market is really small... Look at Nikko... they can't even clear their old stock... so many old pieces lying around... and sometimes, even the newer ones aren't cleared as fast... I guess thats y nikko is being quite selective in the models they are willing to bring in, as well as the quantity to bring in... Too many, and they will be saddled with stagnant stock... too little, and they might lose customers... And with the recent slight increase in price, it doesn't really work in their favour too... I could have gotten the new stock for much less on ebay.. even after including shipping costs...
