How to be a Grandmaster in chinese martial arts

  People like Ip Man, Huang Feihong, Hou Yuanjia and many others are called Grandmasters.
  
  So what are the criteas that you need to hit/do before you can achieve the title of grandmaster?
  
  Who is the 1 that give them the title of grandmaster? Is it self bestowed, they call themself Grandmaster?
  
  How come Bruce Lee is not considered a Grandmaster even though he win so many competition, defeat so many experts, created and taught his own martial arts?

  there r many self proclaimed grand masters.....in fact too many...but the true grand master is one who has uplift the spirit of a whole nation in defence of his motherland and its people.....

  Nowadays martial arts experts no humility..win a national competition called themselves masters...don;t they know there's a heaven beyond heaven, there are people who are more talented and hardworking in their gong fu but never show off
