boxing anyone?

  hi. i wanna box after my A levels. i'm thinking of signing up the the farrer park boxing gym. are there any more boxing centres in singapore? anyone interested in boxing? i am looking for ppl to train with me.

  erm farrer park boxing gym is just a gym rented by martial arts schools to conduct training, it is not a school.
  
  I think contactkinetics and hilltop muay thai is training there currently.
  
  They both teach kickboxing..

  That information is wrong.
  
  It is a boxing gym - where the national team trains. They take in beginners as well. It just so happens Contact Kinetics and Hilltop are the ones renting the gym from them.
  
  I've been there before. Training is everyday except Sunday if I remember correctly. Begins at 3pm to around 5pm. $50 a month, unlimited. From what I can remember though, so might be a little different now.

  Planet Fitness or California Fitness, whatever they are called. They have kickboxing lessons.

  But from what my muay thai friend instructor told me, they dont really have much form or control/balance.

  It's for fitness, not for self defence. That's why they have no form nor control.

  What american boxing? Lol... Boxing as in with hands only orignated in the UK. So why are you calling it american boxing? Western boxing would be a better fit.

  They also published alot of books on wrestling. So are you going to discredit the romans and mongolians who popularized wrestling?
  
  If you browse the bookstores, alot of martial art books are published in america. Maybe all martial art came from US...
