he also trains a competition team but i think you need to be invited to join the team.
his muay thai is really unique as he teach the art of "fighting muay thai" not "traditional muay thai".
he is really great with no ego and he's cool. (he don't even address his as ajarn (master) in class as he says i'm not a master coz i'm constantly learning new things.)
i used to train with him untill my motorcycle accident when i badly injured my wrist. Hope to be back soon.

I second kumuraguy. Darren is a great coach but more importantly, a great friend.
As for "fighting" vs "traditional", I think what he means is that Darren has modified traditional ring muay thai from Thailand by including boxing footwork and hands into it, etc.
Conversely, there's also "Muay Boran" which is the REALLY traditional muay thai which has forms and stuff - resembles chinese kung fu/karate.
