what martial arts have you learnt?

  Looks like a lot of people in sgforums learn quite a lot of modern martial arts rather than traditional ones.
  
  Anybody training in traditional martial arts? Like at least 3 years to master your stances another 5 years to learn kicking........

  Well, in Japan, a judo master is wearing white belt leh

  anyways, i was in TKD since 1997
  
  in national team and several black belt clubs
  
  now im overseas, im not recognised at all. they dont have STF here =( i mean.. NO KIDDING.
  
  i wanna take up capoeira and jeet kune do

  Judo master don't wear white belts, they wear red belts. Probably because the the colour has worn off. I have seen a master whose red belt becomes white because the colour has worn off.

  Is it? There was once when i went for my training, i didn't bring my belt. So, i borrowed one spare ( white colour ) from my senior.
  Lotsa new aikidoka looked at me bewildered, as i'm called by my sensei for demo.
  
  Then he told the class that Judo master in Japan wore white belt.
