Police Academy

There was a police academy that wanted to hire new investigators.
So, they open for applications. 3 were shortlisted and went for the interview. The police officer gave the first interviewee a picture of a criminal, and asked him what he can see from the picture. The first interviewee thought for a while and said "the criminal has only one ear". The officer screamed at the interviewee because the picture was actually the side view of the criminal and chased him out of the room.
The second interviewee saw the same picture. and instantly said: "THE CRIMINAL ONLY HAS 1 EAR!" and he got chased out of the room too.
The third interviewee stared at the picture and thought for 5 mins. Finally, he said "the criminal is wearing contact lens". The officer was very impressed and asked him how he came out with the observation.
The 3rd interviewee, being pleased with himself, said "its so obvious. he can't wear glasses with only 1 ear" -
