Legs 11 (Content Warning! Black Humor)

Got this one of my friend. A mate of his was a APC driver in the British Army. Now back in the 80s and 90s the standard BA APC was the FV432. This was literally a tracked metal box. It didn't have no suspension. The seats inside were all mounted on springs. The controls were 2 sticks, called the 11s. Each one controlled one of the tracks on the respective side. So to go forward u pushed both sticks forward. Both sticks in the middle was stop, back was to reverse. To turn left, you pushed the right stick forward and left the left one in the middle, vice versa to turn right.
Anyways this guy was stationed in Germany towards the end of the cold war. One day they were travelling as part of a road convoy. Now since the seats were mounted on springs, travelling in one of these things on a bad road meant you bounced up and down. The driver was holding onto the 11s for dear life. Suddenly his APC hit a massive bump, which threw him back. As he fell back the left stick got pulled back into the stop position with him. The APC shot off to the left, ran over a civilian car, and crushed 2 people in the front. It also cut the legs off a little girl in the back seat. Henceforth, this guy was known in his unit as "Legs 11"! =D
