I'm a big fan of TVB(formerly known as TVBI) drama series, particular swordfighting & police series. The 90s used to be the peak then...showing on CH 8(now TCS 8) very often when the korean, taiwan & china tv market hasn't boom yet. sadly these days TVB hongkong series are amongst the least watched drama in sg. But i'm gonna talk abt swordfighting series here.
No offence to the younger generation who like the swordfighing series of today. But i'm can't find myself liking the post 2000 era swordfighting dramas directed by china tv. As i personally feel dat too much CG is used. It's more like a matrix feel than real swordfighting. And i always feel dat the TVB actors & actresses are so much better looking than the china ones. Also, they(TVB) act with more passion & are more naturally. The series theme songs are great too, sung by jacky cheung, sammi cheng, emil chau to name a few.
My point here is not to debate...but rather show the people here who had liked TVB swordfighting series a few forgotten dramas previously shown on CH 8 in the 90s. NOT the famous ones like Legend & Return of Condor Heroes, but rather those dat had not been remake. They are just opening themes, not any part of the drama. The younger ones who had not watch b4 if u like it u can search for it online. Enjoy :)
